Tha art-painter Adrianus Johannes (Adriaan) Groenewegen is thought to be one of the last painters of the Hague-school. He was a student of the Academie of B.K. at Rotterdam. He mainly painted typically Dutch sceneries, mostly with individuals and cattle. Groenewegen is mainly known for his aquarelles painted in fresh colors with cattle, whit an increasing interest from abroad. His work was mainly exported to Engeland, Schotland, Canada and the V.S.
